For each language, a separate desk is used by 2 interpreters in turn, for 30 minutes in average. The desks can communicate with each other by radio signal or wire. The interpreter chooses where to receive the signal from, either from the speaker or from the interpreter into the desired target language (usually English)

No, because the interpreter’s speech will not sound from the loudspeakers all over entire hall, but will be transmitted directly from the desk to the listener’s earphone
Where there are several target languages, the listener can switch between them by pressing the "+" and "-" buttons simultaneously. When pressed individually, they adjust the volume level in the headphones
Yes, hall configuration does matter. Where it is different from usual rectangular or square shape or where it is required to transmit the signal to neighboring halls, we recommend additionally placing our repeaters
The CrystalSound simultaneous interpreting desk is compatible with any equipment normally used for conferencing: audio mixing desk, microphones, loudspeakers, etc
